We filled a 53-gallon whiskey barrel from Traverse City Whiskey Co. with maple syrup from the Currey Family Farm in Charlevoix, Michigan and aged it until it took on the charred oaky notes of the barrel and the smooth vanilla undercurrents of bourbon.
