Where can I shop American Spoon products in person?
Our complete product line can be found at any of our five retail locations in Michigan. In addition, we do sell our products at select retailers across the United States. For assistance locating a retailer near you, please contact our Customer Service team at 1-888-735-6700 or at help@spoon.com
How do I change the address on my catalog?
Contact Customer Service by email at help@spoon.com or by phone at 1-888-735-6700. Please be sure to provide your old address as well as your new address.
How do I remove my name from American Spoon's mailing list?
Please call Customer Service at 1-888-735-6700 or email us at help@spoon.com and provide the name and address as printed on the catalog that you would like removed.
Please note, it can take 1 to 2 catalog cycles for this change to take effects.
Can I cancel or make changes to my order?
To ensure you can enjoy your order as soon as possible, things do move quite quickly once your order is placed. Once your order is submitted over the phone or via our website we are unable to make changes or cancellations to your order. How will my package be shipped?

What if my package arrives damaged?
Products which arrive damaged or otherwise mishandled in transit may be disposed of. To receive a replacement free of charge or a full credit for the damaged item(s), please call our Customer Service team at 1-888-735-6700 or email help@spoon.com for assistance.
How do I include a gift box with my order?
Please note, all products in our "Gifts" assortment come standard with a gift box. If you are creating your own custom gift, click the ‘Add American Spoon Gift Box’ checkbox in the cart page of the checkout process. We will select the appropriate size gift box for your order when it is packed.
Can I send a gift card?
Gift Cards are available for purchase at any American Spoon store, online or by contacting our Customer Service team at 1-888-735-6700. We will mail the physical gift card and a catalog to your gift recipient.

How will these orders ship?
We can ship the products directly to multiple individual recipients, to one location for distribution, or we can accommodate a combination of both.

American Spoon can accommodate shipping to all 50 states, United States Territories, APO/AFO addresses and Canada. These orders will ship via USPS or USPS International.
If you know a recipient cannot receive FedEx delivery, please contact gifting@spoon.com
At this time, the Blueberry Coffee Cake is the only product we do not ship outside of the 48 contiguous U.S. States.
Our business gifting team will also work with you directly to provide shipping timelines and details for your specific orders based on shipping location and shipping date.
Do I need to refrigerate my items?
American Spoon items are shelf stable before opening excluding the Michigan Maple Cream. Once opened, we recommend refrigerating all items to maintain optimal flavor aside from the Peanut Butter, Almond Butter, Chocolate Hazelnut Butter, Raw Honey, Lemon Honey and Star Thistle Honey.
What is the shelf life of American Spoon products?
We recommend locating the ‘Best By’ date printed on all American Spoon items for the optimal flavor and color lifespan of the product. If the ‘Best By’ date has been exceeded, we advise disposing of the product.
Where can I find nutritional information?
Nutritional information for each item can be located on the product’s individual product page at spoon.com by selecting "Nutrition Facts" next to the "Reviews" tab.
Why does my product have a plastic seal instead of a vacuum seal? Is it safe to consume?
Due to the composition of some products and ingredients, not all can go through the vacuum sealing process. Instead, these jars are sealed with a plastic tempering ring. If the tempering ring is broken upon receipt of the item, do not consume the product and please alert American Spoon Customer Service.
These products include: Chocolate Hazelnut Butter, Maple Syrup (8.5 oz and 16 oz), Whiskey Maple Syrup, Star Thistle Honey, Lemon Honey, Peanut Butter, Almond Butter, Maple Granola and Chocolate Granola
What is the difference between each of your products?
Preserves - Chunks of whole fruit preserved with sugar.
Jam - Crushed or mashed fruit preserved with sugar.
Jelly - Fruit juice and sugar reduced to a spreadable texture, often with the addition of pectin.
Fruit Perfect / Compote - Whole fruit gently cooked to a loose, spoonable set occasionally with the addition of spiced or herbs. In the case of Fruit Perfect, the flavor is intensified with the addition of concentrated juices of the fruit itself.
Spoon Fruit - A preserve sweetened only with fruit juice.
Fruit Butter - A slowly cooked puree of fruit that is thick and smooth in texture with an intense fruit flavor.
Conserve - A preserve made with a mixture of fruits or berries, sometimes with the addition of spices or dried fruit.
Marmalade - A preserve made with citrus juice cooked with sugar and chopped citrus peel. Marmalades can be made from just citrus fruit, or by blending the citrus juice and peel with other non-citrus fruits.
Curd - A sweet spread made from sugar, lemon, eggs, and butter.

Our web servers establish a secure connection to your computer whenever you submit sensitive personal information. This prevents that information from being intercepted as it travels across the Internet to our servers. Why should I create an account?
By creating an account, you will easily be able to send gifts using your personalized Address Book (any names and addresses need to be entered only once). In addition, once your billing and shipping information is entered one time, it will be automatically remembered when you sign in.
You will also be able to view all historical order information for orders placed after August 2021.

Will my credit card number be stored on the site?
Although our site is secure, we do not allow that information to be stored within our site or within your account. We do not store any credit card or financial account information in our databases that could later be used to compromise your account. This information is used as provided and only to complete your current transaction.
How do I change or edit my customer information
(shipping, billing, email address, password)?
If you have a registered customer account, just log in with your email address and the password you originally supplied. Then, click ‘Account’ in the upper right hand corner. Select ‘View Addresses’ and utilize the ‘edit’ links to update any of your original information.

All items are gluten free except:

American Spoon is a peanut free facility, but not a tree nut free facility. Products containing peanuts are produced at a seperate facility.
