
Cherry BBQ Chicken
Ingredients
3 ½ -4 pounds chicken thighs and drumsticks (bone-in and skin-on)
1 tablespoon kosher salt
1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder
1 ½ teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 jar American Spoon Cherry BBQ Grilling Sauce

Grill time: 30 minutes
1. Combine the salt and spices in a small bowl and mix to combine. Place the chicken on a large baking sheet. Sprinkle the spice rub on the chicken, making sure the pieces are fully covered. Cover with plastic film and set aside, letting the chicken come to room temperature.
2. While the chicken is resting, prepare your grill. If using gas, heat one side of the grill to high, while keeping the other side on low heat. If using a charcoal grill, create the two heat zones by keeping the coals to one side of the grill, leaving the other side for indirect heat.
3. Place the chicken on the indirect heat side. Cover and cook for 25 minutes, turning every 5 minutes or so. Brush the chicken with the grilling sauce and move to the direct heat side. Cook for 2-3 minutes and flip. Brush the pieces with more sauce and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Continue brushing and flipping until the chicken is cooked through.
Serve the chicken with the remaining grilling sauce and enjoy.
